Every year the Nebraska-Iowa District holds a conference in the fall midway through the year of service. Regional Conferences are held in four locations: Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Omaha, and Lincoln. These events combine fun service projects with helpful information sessions about the district. Not only is this a great way to meet more Key Club members from across the district, but it also allows NE-IA clubs to stay involved and up-to-date on district and international information.
Members of Nebraska-Iowa Key Clubs have the opportunity to participate in a variety of events, both on a district and international scale!
Key Club districts around the country hold their annual District Conventions throughout March and April. This year, the Nebraska-Iowa District will hold its convention in Lincoln, NE, on the weekend of March 20th-22th. This weekend will include a wide array of activities, ranging from a talent show and workshops, to formal caucusing/voting for the 2019-2020 District Board. Ideally, each club within the district will send at least two members to the convention to act as as their club's two delegates, who will vote on the board positions as well as any changes to the district bylaws. This is a great opportunity to become more involved with Key Club on a district and international level, and provides a fantastic weekend of networking and fun!
International Convention is held each June/July, and is attended by thousands of Key Club members from across the world. The Nebraska-Iowa District takes a group of attendees to the event each year, and any member of a Nebraska or Iowa Key Club is welcome to join. We will be heading to San Francisco, California for the 2019 convention.
